It may not seem like it, but spring is here. The weather will eventually turn. The crew and I are very excited to get the course cleaned up and opened as soon as possible.
Last fall, the crew did a tremendous job preparing for the winter. Winter prep plays a crucial role in spring course conditions. The greens were heavily top-dressed, fairways and green surrounds dormant fed (fertilized), as well as numerous other actions and procedures to ensure optimal playing conditions once the snow melts. Combined with the various drainage projects over the past two years, the golf course should perform very well coming out of one of the worst winters ever.
We are all very excited and hope you share our enthusiasm. Spring is in the air. It’s time for golf.
