The Seven Oaks Golf Club at Colgate University will begin major renovations in early September.
Seven Oaks Golf Club at Colgate University has begun the first steps in a major renovation happening this year. The 18-hole course, clubhouse and facilities will undergo improvements to enhance the guest experience.
Light construction is already underway with the creation and installation of fairway bunkers and drainage systems. Additionally, the doors at the clubhouse restaurant are closed for the season to start exciting updates.
By September 6, the golf shop building, parking lot and cart barn will join the restaurant and temporarily close for the season. Temporary parking will be available for guests, located across the street next to the putting green. The golf shop will also be housed across the street in a temporary portion of the maintenance building.
Early September will also bring the start of major course construction. Two temporary pins will be available for golfers but the full course will remain open through the fall.
"We are tremendously excited for the renovations to begin," says General Manager Dallas Pylinski. "These improvements are not only going to enhance the golfer experience, but make Seven Oaks a campus landmark that Colgate students and alumni are proud of."
